About Solara

Meet Erica

I’m a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner licensed in New York State, with an additional certification in perinatal mental health from Postpartum Support International. My practice is rooted in compassion, evidence-based care and a deep respect for the emotional experiences that shape us.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I spent over 15 years working as a psychiatric registered nurse, much of that time at New York Presbyterian’s inpatient psychiatric hospital in White Plains, New York. After completing my advanced degree from Pace University, I relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina where I joined a private practice specializing in women’s and perinatal mental health.

For the past three years I’ve had the privilege of supporting women through infertility, pregnancy and postpartum transitions, grief and loss, and menopause, as well as the many emotional seasons that arise across the lifespan. My work is about more than symptom relief; it’s about creating a space for healing, self-understanding, and meaningful change, which unfolds when we feel safe, seen, and understood.

Solara was born from this belief: that every woman deserves a space where she feels truly seen, supported, and safe to grow through all the complexities of her emotional life.
